Ames National Corporation is a multi-bank holding company with six central Iowa banks operating in 11 communities from 18 banking offices. The Corporation was established in 1975 to serve as a holding company for First National Bank, Ames, Iowa. Since that time, Boone Bank & Trust Co., Boone; Iowa State Savings Bank, Creston; State Bank & Trust Co., Nevada; Reliance State Bank, Story City; and United Bank & Trust Co., Marshalltown have affiliated with the Corporation. With total assets of over $2.1 billion as of December 31, 2024, the Corporation is the 6th largest Iowa-based commercial bank holding company based on total deposits.
